Man with AK 47 Killed by Woman with Pistol
Chunchula, Alabama – Mobile County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) report deputies were dispatched to the scene of a domestic dispute on Sunday. Two callers to 911 both said they heard a gun shot and a woman calling for help.
The Sheriff’s office says when deputies arrived at the home located on Clebourne Ct. they found Johanna Harbison outside the home.
The woman said she had been attacked by her boyfriend who had struck her in the face with an AK 47. While Harbison was being treated for injuries to her head, officers discovered the body of her boyfriend, 51-year-old David Bailey.
Harbison told investigators Bailey had attacked her with the rifle. She then armed herself with a 9mm handgun and shot her boyfriend in the chest. Baily was pronounced dead at the scene.
Harbison was taken to the hospital for further treatment.
MCSO says that the shooting appears to be in self-defense and no charges have been filed against the alleged victim, but they have filed the incident with Mobile County courts for inspection by a grand jury.
Part of your self-defense preparations should include a trauma medical kit. If you are injured trying to protect both your life and the lives of your family, you might need to stop bleeding long enough for paramedics to arrive to take you to the hospital.
